What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy uses evidence-based, simple and accessible practices which include mind body techniques, such as nervous system regulation, movement, breathwork, polyvagal theory, mindfulness, self-enquiry and psychotherapeutic principles to improve peoples physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It is a therapeutic brings together modern science, biomedicine, neuroscience, psychology, trauma sensitive training, with ancient yoga wisdom to provide a unique and holistic, person centred therapy.

WHO IS YOGA THERAPY FOR?

Yoga therapy can support various types of physical and mental health issues, these include perinatal mental health, fertility issues, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, trauma, cancer and grief.

Together, we will explore and consider how past and present experiences manifest in all layers of the self, including physically, energetically, mentally, spiritually and socially and weave in knowledge, principles and practices to help address and create support for change.

My passion is based on the evidence that this integrative approach to health and wellbeing can help to reduce stress, inflammation and help nurture emotional balance through increased self awareness, and regulation.
