EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK FOR YOGA AND STUDIO TEACHERS AND STUDENTS

Emergency First Aid At Work (In accordance with The Health and Safety (first Aid) Regulations 1981, designed specifically for those working in studio based environments (example: yoga teachers, pilates Instructors, fitness instructors etc).

This one day course will not only provide you with the up-to-date knowledge and the essential practical skills of First Aid, it will also empower you to deliver this in any real-life situation. As an Emergency Nurse, Yoga teacher and First Aid Instructor, Hannah understands the specific risks within a studio setting and will cover the common injuries seen within studios and how to manage these including head injuries, sprains and dislocations. On completion, you will receive a comprehensive first aid manual, portable first aid pack and a certificate confirming your qualification for 3 years.

What you will learn?

The content of the course provides lifesaving First Aid, including automated defibrillator training (AED) and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:

The role of the first aider
Health and safety regulations
Managing an emergency
Resuscitation (adult CPR) and children
Communication and casualty care
Head Injuries and Seizures
Bleeding (minor and severe)
Shock
Burns
Unresponsive casualty
Choking
Pregnancy

Assessment: Continuous assessment throughout day and multiple choice test
Certification: Valid for 3 years on completion
Group size: Limited to 12
